What to include in a court reporter scheduling request

Provide the proceeding date, local start time, city or remote format, expected duration and the type of proceeding. Include the case caption or internal reference, the ordering attorney or firm contact and any reporter qualification that applies to the assignment.

If you need realtime, legal videography, interpretation, exhibit coordination, a rough draft or expedited transcript delivery, add those requirements to the same request. For remote and hybrid proceedings, identify participant locations and the connection plan when it is known.

For urgent or incomplete requests

When the matter is urgent, provide the actual deadline and call the scheduling number if appropriate. If some information is still pending, state what is confirmed and what is expected to change. A clear partial request is more useful than a vague request marked only as urgent.

No account is required to submit a scheduling request. Firms that want to discuss recurring volume, markets or an ongoing relationship can use the separate Contact page.

For Tell us where and when. We’ll take it from there., clear communication matters as much as the underlying service. Confirm the responsible contact, the required deadline and the final recipients so changes can be communicated quickly and the completed work returns to the correct case team.

After you submit the scheduling request

The scheduling team uses the information you provide to evaluate reporter coverage and any requested supporting services. Watch the contact information supplied with the order for follow-up questions or confirmation details, particularly when the assignment is urgent or still has open logistics.

If the date, venue, remote format, witness availability or transcript deadline changes, send the update as soon as possible. A court reporting assignment is easier to adjust when the change is communicated before the proceeding rather than at the scheduled start time.
